Downloaded this free prog and after a few hours have decided to use it for live work, if I can just scrape together the cash for a laptop.

Perhaps limited feature-wise compared to ableton etc, but that simplicity should result in a stabler environment. 8 stereo tracks is more than I can deal with anyway!
The fact that almost every parameter can easily be midi controlled means I'll require minimal mouse input and hopefully can focus on the music.
