I am new to forum and somewhat new to the looping world. I am very happy to find a forum dedicated to loopers! A little about my history with looping.... I actually started amateurly about six years ago playing with the 5sec "hold" function on my Boss DD6. I made short little phrases and practice writing melodies and leads and making looped rhythms and just noise overall. I've on and off been able to borrow a friends DL4 to expand upon my ideas. I got hooked since then. In february of this year I bought an RC-50 and since then I have writing and practicing to eventually start solo performing. It's a very complex process and their are so many possibilities!
I have performed one gig so far and that was at a benefit concert at a church that had pretty wild acoustics. My audience seemed to enjoy the performance even though it was mostly laid back guitar pieces with stacked harmonies and improvised solos. I usually loop guitar, bass, random percussion, and occasionally keyboards and vocals. I'm excited to able to join in and contribute to this looping community!

Welcome, nice to have you on board.
I know what you mean about the complexities of looping. There were so many things I'd never considered before I started looping in earnest.
