I've never used a looper and would like to start. I play guitar and would basically like to start playing chords and keep looping them as long as possible (so i can solo over the top). What would be the best looping station for me?

I guess that it might help to narrow down the search if you specified what you wanted and might want in the future, e.g 1. how long do you want your loops to be? 2. do you want to be able to store/load loops? 3. how much do you want to spend? 4. do you want something new or used? 5. how many simultaneous loops do you need? 6. do you want to be able to reverse loops? 7. do you want to be able to time stretch loops?

i want to be able to do a chord pattern for a song (5-10 minutes) record it while i'm playing live. stomp on the button and have it play back while i do a guitar solo. i'd like a new unit under $300.00.

i want to be able to do a chord pattern for a song (5-10 minutes) I suspect you don't actually need 5 mins of loop time, most chord sequences last a lot less time than that. I'd suggest start with one of the many free software loopers, find out exactly what features you need before committing to hardware. New loopers seem to emerge every few months these days
