This software looks a lot of fun!/ It sure does! Such a shame I can't afford a Mac for now... But the Wiimote is an amazingly interesting gadget. So good they didn't invent some proprietary kind of communication for it - just plain Bluetooth, this results in really interesting "alternative uses" for the device. I have been playing around with it for a very short while - hm... already thinking of some gorgeous little Wii gadgets.... :-)

But the Wiimote is an amazingly interesting gadget. I've been searching in vain for a similar midi-based gadget - or something like the alesis airFX but outputing midi so I can decide what to control with it.

(at the bottom, so it won't be 2008...) And how about this one turned into a general MIDI controller... would be cool too : www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfACjGycFCc

Just sort it out before I'm too old to gig My ideal scenario would be something activated by foot (or proximity of a leg?) - I wonder why nobody has created a midi pedal that doesn't actually need a pedal - a light beam could be fired upwards and as your foot got nearer, it would activate a CC change - a waa that never wore out, or a controller for almost anything! I'm full of bright ideas ;D

I'm currently waiting for some component samples to try out exactly that... Cool! The range of potential applications would be huge. I've seen this device www.deviever.com/fx/peep/index.htmlbut it apparently needs a high level of ambient light to work, plus it's not midi. If you need any testing out, I'd be delighted to help, although I'd imagine you can lift your own foot up and down .

Yann, aka The Amazing Rolo, has more recently released some simple stand alone apps for the mac, which look interesting. The maniipulator in particular looks like a great tool for loopers.
Has anyone given this software a work-out yet?

Yeah, me too.
Yann did release a PC version of the Loop Machine at one stage, so I'm hopeful for some future PC releases.
Or I could just buy a Mac.
