Just so it is in the group, here is a page I put together for Looper's Delight, and lists many software based looping apps and plugins. www.krispenhartung.com/software-looping.htmI personally use a customized looping patch that my friend Jeff Kaiser created for Max/MSP. You can see that here: www.krispenhartung.com/ (click on "gear") I particularly like the random speed and random shuffle functions, whose speeds of random change I can control with my expression pedals. Great page, your software-looping.htm . Very helpful in my quest to get all up running. I paid Kaiser's site a visit, but don't see a manual. From yours and Jeff's description, KaiserLooper seems very applicable. Two issues I didn't see or simply may've missed: Does it feature feedback control? Full MIDI control?

Great page, your software-looping.htm . Very helpful in my quest to get all up running. I paid Kaiser's site a visit, but don't see a manual. From yours and Jeff's description, KaiserLooper seems very applicable. Two issues I didn't see or simply may've missed: Does it feature feedback control? Full MIDI control? Yes, you can alter the code of the patch with variable feedback. Given that it is a "kit" it allows max users to go in and tweak things, add functionality, etc. I have added a fair amount of things to it. It's just not in the basic kit...but "user added". MIDI control...yes. You can control anything in max with MIDI. But you would have to add the objects in the looping patch to do this. Jeff didn't add it because adding MIDI control in MAX is fairly easy, and folks like to do it differently. Some people, like Jeff, don't even control their max patches with MIDI, but with something like a Roland EV-5 expression pedal running into one of the audio inputs and outputs of an audio interface....then you use some basic code, a cycle generator, etc to get max to convert the effect of the expression pedal into parameter changes, etc...no MIDI necessary. For example, if your expression pedal causes a db change from -10 to -.05, you map that to the values of any effect of function, like 0 to 127 for a volume fader, 0 to 1. for feedback, -36 to +36 for pitch, and so on. The sky is the limit. In no time at all, you can control anything you want in in max...any thing that has any potential value change can be controlled via MIDI, or by anything you choose...you could add code the analyzes the input of your instrument, and everytime it detects a middle C note, it turns some effect on, etc. Kris
