Impressive, but "unbelieveable" is spot on the mark. In order to make the demo work the guy (who certainly seems to be a genius) must have first analysed the harmonic spectra from individual notes played on that particular guitar. Also, we aren't told how long it takes the software to analyse the chordal playing and split it....bet it takes rather a long time, and doesn't straight away give the perfect results shown here. It's impossible to tell from the quality of the streaming video, but I don't imagine that the results of editing would be of suitable sound quality for anything but a background guitar part buried in the mix. On the other, good luck to them, I hope they make it a reality.
